Newborn Sweetness

Oh how I love newborns! Meet Baby 'E". I would have to say that he was the best model I've ever had. He slept the entire time and let me pose him without waking up. We made sure to keep him cozy and warm and I think that helped to keep him sleepy. Momma fed him well and put him in the famous milk comatose and then we use a heating pad under the blankets and a blowdryer for warmth and for the white noise. He was just too perfect! Here is a sneak peak from his 'mini-session'. Thank you 'C' family for letting me capture these memories!!

For Halloween this year, my daughter's were dressed as a cowgirl and a baby cow. Haylee was only about 3 weeks old, but we all went out as a family to trick or treat. My Rylee loved it so much and had so much fun!

I'd like to announce the arrival of our baby girl, Haylee Jayde, born on October 8th at 8:45pm via emergency c-section. She had a guardian angel with her the night of her delivery, she had a (stable) prolapsed cord. She was a big girl, weighing 8 pounds 14 ounces and was 20 inches long. Her big sister loves her very much and we are all doing well and adjusting. I wanted to share quite a few of my favorite shots thus far.... Enjoy!

Sharing Some Of My Little Girl, Rylee

A few more weeks and Rylee is going to be a big sister, I'm due mid October with Haylee, but wondering if there is a chance she'll come a little bit early. We drove out near Grassy Lake Road and took a few pictures right outside of the car by all the greens. I love the deep coloring here! We headed out at about 7:30, The sun was going down and we were losing light rather quickly, I used my speedlight on the last three (can you tell? probably....) :) Still trying to master it, I'm such a natural light kind of girl! :) Anyhow, hope you enjoy! Rylee is soon to be 15 months old!

Just wanted to share the first two edits from Reese's mini-session. She just turned 2 years old! She is such a sweet sweet girl! She usually can spot that camera from a mile away, but she was a total ham for the camera this time! We rolled balls back and forth to each other, we sang and dance, we made silly faces, and we even watched a dance video. Her only job was to stay on the paper and she did sooo good!!!!

Firefighter Bunker Gear (one more from SIL's maternity session)

Just wanted to share another one from my SIL's maternity session. Daddy to be is a firefighter so we incorporated his bunker gear into her session. Baby Mason's room is decorated in firetrucks and dalmatians so it was only fitting to have some pictures taken in with daddy's gear!

Sneak Peak From My Sister-In-Law's Maternity Session

My BIL and SIL are expecting their first, a baby boy, named Mason and are due the day after me. It has been a lot of fun to be able to compare notes with her and her progress as we are exactly the same time along in our pregnancies. It was such a joy to be able to capture these memories for them and I absolutely can not wait to meet my little Nephew! I am going to be an Aunt for the first time! Daddy (my B-I-L) is a firefighter and thus have so many ideas and plans around that concept. Mason's nursery is decorated in fire trucks and dalmatians and is so cute! Here is just a sneak peak from their session, I will definitely have to share more as I proof them, especially the ones from the firefighter bunker gear! :)

Connor is growing up!

Meet Connor, he is such a sweet little boy! Connor was my first client back when he was around 9 months old and I finally had the opportunity to shoot him again! He has the most gorgeous little eyes and I can't believe how much he has grown up! Here are just the first 2 from his session, lots more to go through, but wanted to give you all a sneak peak! Can I just say too, how HOT it is here in Florida! Makes it really hard lately to shoot outside!!!

New Lens

Just got my new lens in and wanted to share a few! The Canon 17-40mm f4/L

I love the clarity of the 'L' glass, worth every penny!!

and one to show off the wide angle (shot from maybe a foot away or less!)

I've come to realize that I need to change the color space of my photos when I save them. These are shot in RAW under the adobe RGB color space, and I need to convert them to sRGB color space to prevent the dull look given when posting on the web.... something to test and try out for later.... I'll have to post a picture saved in adobe RGB and one saved in sRGB and see what happens!!.... on my to do list then.

I Love This Blanket

My friend Kristin is soo talented, I bought the most difficult yarn for her to work with, and she whipped up this beautiful scarf/blanket for me. I intend to use this with my newborn sessions as a wrap, or blanket, and I just can't wait for Haylee (my daughter) to arrive so that I can take some pictures of her with it. I just love the texture of the yarn in black and white portraits. This is Logan, my friend's little boy (also named Kristin), he is such a sweetheart! Logan is almost 3 months old! They grow up soo quickly!
Just a little shout out to Kristin to say Thank you for making this blanket for me!! and to my other friend Kristin, for letting me capture a few memories of Logan!

FIREWORKS Galore!!!!!!!

I had a blast this 4th of July, and I am soo thrilled to finally be able to capture the beauty of the event! My camera setting to capture these images were:
Manual Mode, Tripod, ISO 100, F/8, ss between 4 and 6 seconds. I pressed the shutter button as the fireworks were launching and heading skyward (before the boom).
Hope these settings will help any newbies out there for their next opportunity! It really is a lot of fun!!!

Growing up fast

This past weekend I was fortunate to get to shoot 7 month old Joshua again. I last saw him as a newborn and he was one of my first sessions as I was just starting out. He is such a sweet little boy and so very happy and smiley! They really do grow up so fast, I always find myself asking "Where has the time gone?". Anyhow, Here is a sneak peak from our session, and some to look back on when he was a newborn.

Can I just tell you how much fun we had on this session? We went to downtown Orlando and we didn't make it but two blocks down on Robinson Street because we all ready filled up two memory cards. The locations there are AMAZING! There are sooo many more places that I wanted to go to that we didn't make it to. Here are some sneak peaks from the session, there are sooo many more favorites that I may have to post later as well! Kristin and Sarah are so gorgeous and they made it too easy!

It's never too late for an ~E-session~

This is probably my favorite session to date! One of my best friends, Kristi and Patrick allowed me to shoot an engagement session (E-session) with them for my portfolio! They will be married 5 years in May!!
Unfortunately, the session was cut short because my husband and I decided on a home the day before and started moving in the same day as the session. We shot for about an hour when we had to call it quits, but will finish the session within the week. I am really looking forward to shooting them more! Aren't they the most beautiful couple ever??!!!

Meet Brandi, Scott, Logan, and baby on the way! This was such a fun session and I definitely found my goofy side interacting with Logan. We had fun playing with Elmo and balancing blocks on my head until they fell off. He just loved that! I hope all of my singing didn't hurt Brandi and Scott's ears. Haha. Baby on the way is a secret so this was my first session in which the sex of the baby was a mystery! How fun and exciting, I give major props because I could never wait that long. If you know me, then you know that I must know everything NOW and can't wait for surprises. Here are just a few of my favorites from the session. Enjoy!
