Firefighter Bunker Gear (one more from SIL's maternity session)

Just wanted to share another one from my SIL's maternity session. Daddy to be is a firefighter so we incorporated his bunker gear into her session. Baby Mason's room is decorated in firetrucks and dalmatians so it was only fitting to have some pictures taken in with daddy's gear!

Sneak Peak From My Sister-In-Law's Maternity Session

My BIL and SIL are expecting their first, a baby boy, named Mason and are due the day after me. It has been a lot of fun to be able to compare notes with her and her progress as we are exactly the same time along in our pregnancies. It was such a joy to be able to capture these memories for them and I absolutely can not wait to meet my little Nephew! I am going to be an Aunt for the first time! Daddy (my B-I-L) is a firefighter and thus have so many ideas and plans around that concept. Mason's nursery is decorated in fire trucks and dalmatians and is so cute! Here is just a sneak peak from their session, I will definitely have to share more as I proof them, especially the ones from the firefighter bunker gear! :)

Connor is growing up!

Meet Connor, he is such a sweet little boy! Connor was my first client back when he was around 9 months old and I finally had the opportunity to shoot him again! He has the most gorgeous little eyes and I can't believe how much he has grown up! Here are just the first 2 from his session, lots more to go through, but wanted to give you all a sneak peak! Can I just say too, how HOT it is here in Florida! Makes it really hard lately to shoot outside!!!

New Lens

Just got my new lens in and wanted to share a few! The Canon 17-40mm f4/L

I love the clarity of the 'L' glass, worth every penny!!





and one to show off the wide angle (shot from maybe a foot away or less!)



I've come to realize that I need to change the color space of my photos when I save them. These are shot in RAW under the adobe RGB color space, and I need to convert them to sRGB color space to prevent the dull look given when posting on the web.... something to test and try out for later.... I'll have to post a picture saved in adobe RGB and one saved in sRGB and see what happens!!.... on my to do list then.

I Love This Blanket

My friend Kristin is soo talented, I bought the most difficult yarn for her to work with, and she whipped up this beautiful scarf/blanket for me. I intend to use this with my newborn sessions as a wrap, or blanket, and I just can't wait for Haylee (my daughter) to arrive so that I can take some pictures of her with it. I just love the texture of the yarn in black and white portraits. This is Logan, my friend's little boy (also named Kristin), he is such a sweetheart! Logan is almost 3 months old! They grow up soo quickly!
